The Arosalinie: Chur – Arosa add-on brings a distinctive Swiss narrow-gauge experience to the Train Sim World series (TSW 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6). This route is celebrated for its challenging mountain engineering and stunning alpine views.

Route Overview

The 26-kilometer (approximately 16-mile) route, operated by the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), travels from the city of Chur to the high-altitude ski resort of Arosa. Its key highlights include:

  • Narrow-Gauge Track: Utilizes metre gauge (1,000 mm) track, offering a unique operational challenge within the simulation.
  • Challenging Terrain: Features steep gradients up to 6%, numerous hairpin bends, street running sections in Chur, mountain tunnels, and the iconic Langwieser Viaduct.
  • Authentic Journey: Speed restrictions mean the full journey takes about an hour, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the picturesque scenery.

Featured Rolling Stock

The add-on includes the classic Ge 4/4 II electric locomotive in the authentic RhB livery, used for both passenger and freight services.

Accompanying rolling stock includes:

  • EW-1 and Gepackwagen passenger coaches.
  • SP-W timber wagons for freight operations.
